The museum is housed in the mansion of Anastasios Londos and was founded in 1994 by the Historical Folklore Society Aigialeias. Is largely the work of one person, philologist Vana Bentevi, which during her long action managed to gather folklore data of the folk and urban culture of Aegio. The very rich history and folklore material are exposed to nine halls covering a long period (from Ottoman to date) of history and tradition (weapons, uniforms, paintings, agricultural tools, embroidery, etc.) of Aigialeia. The Historical Folklore Museum is a Municipal Corporation of Aigio’s Municipality.
