Mount Movri has an altitude of 692 m. It is located just across the Movris Municipality and literally hugs the region. The vegetation of the mountain is Mediterranean and includes oaks. Among the species that make up the flora there are bushes and oaks and several species of orchids that grow during spring. There are several species of birds such as the partridge, the Blue Rock Thrush, the Wheatears and other. The wild landscape creates good conditions for nesting birds of prey from which the most noteworthy is the peregrine falcon. It provides also shelter to a significant variety of reptiles. Throughout the mountain there are many natural water sources. The natural trails of the mountian are suitable for mountain bike races. So in a position called Sivarvaroi, mountain biking facilities were created. At the foot of the mountain there are centuries old olive trees which are famous for producing high quality extra virgin olive oil, integral product of the Mediterranean diet to which is based local - and not only - traditional gastronomy. Equally famous are the wines produced in the region from the surrounding vineyards. The different varieties like Roditis, Mavrodafni, siderite, cabernet, chardonnay, merlot and sirach, which thrive at the foot of Mount Movri are special wines worth the taste.
